Draws for the 15 local government areas of Ondo State that registered for Governor’s Cup in the state is out.
The draws was conducted by Ondo State Football Association on Monday ahead of the scheduled Governor’s Cup in the state.
Conducting the draws at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure, representatives of all the participating teams were in attendance.
The Chairman of the state FA, Otunba Dele Ajayi, while fielding questions from newsmen, urged all the teams to abide by the rules of the game.
Ajayi, who was represented by a Board Member, Mr Samuel Patani, warned that there were fines for any form of misconduct by any participating team which may want to bring the competition into disrepute.
He assured that all teams would given a level playing field as organisers did not have preference for any team and that the competition would be on knock out basis.
According to Ajayi, there are three venues for the competition viz: Ondo town for Central District, Okitipupa for Southern District and Owo for Northern Senatorial District.
He, therefore, charged the managers of all the teams to tell their players to be of good behaviour before, during and after the tournament.
