As Dr. Bode Olajumoke celebrates his 80th birthday, he has been described as a true and exceptional leader who played politics without bitterness in the country.
The Director, Media and Publicity of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ondo State, Steve Otaloro, stated this in a personal congratulatory message to the elder statesman on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State capital.
He emphasised that the role played by Olajumoke was part of what placed Ondo State on national political platform.
Otaloro said: “I am honored to eulogize Dr. Bode Olajumoke as he celebrates his 80th birthday. Dr. Olajumoke is a true and exceptional leader who has always played politics without bitterness.
“His leadership has put Ondo State on the national consciousness through his Imeri Group, which has established the state as a key player in Nigerian politics.
“The Imeri Group, under Dr. Olajumoke’s guidance, has brought together the Crème de la crème of Nigerian politicians, creating a true political movement in the 90s that has had a lasting impact on the country’s political landscape.
“Dr. Olajumoke’s selfless service to Nigeria, particularly to Ondo State, as a senator representing the northern senatorial district, cannot be overstated. He has facilitated numerous projects, including the prestigious Navy School, that have benefited the people of Ondo State.
“As Dr. Olajumoke celebrates his 80th birthday, we ask for God’s guidance to continue to abide by him and wish him many more years of birthday celebrations. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Happy Birthday, Dr. Bode Olajumoke.”
