Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested suspects linked to a string of covert killings across parts of Plateau State.
Security sources disclosed that the arrests followed intensified intelligence-led operations and coordinated stop-and-search exercises in identified flashpoints within Jos metropolis and surrounding communities.
The suspects are believed to be connected to targeted attacks carried out in isolated locations, often under the cover of darkness.
During the operations, security operatives intercepted the suspects at strategic points and recovered weapons and other incriminating items.
The development comes amid growing anxiety over sporadic killings and the discovery of bodies in secluded areas, which have heightened tension among residents.
Authorities confirmed that those arrested are in custody and undergoing interrogation as efforts continue to uncover wider networks and possible accomplices.
