Tragedy struck in Afashio-Uzairue, Auchi area of Edo State on October 26, 2024 as a young lady that goes by the name Peculiar ( surname unknown ) poisoned her boyfriend and four of his friends to death.
Five of them died after eating fresh fish pepper soup prepared by the lady.
She confessed after her arrest that she deliberately poisoned the soup in order to take her revenge on her boyfriend who she said once ditched her.
Unknown to her, she didn’t know that the young man whose name could not be obtained as at the time of this report, decided to share the pepper soup with four of his friends.
They all died from the food poisoning
We however, informed that the Edo State Police Command are currently investigating the matter, while the lady has been taken into custody and the body of the decease have been deposited in the morgue.
