Coalition of Rivers State Professionals(CORPS) has declared its support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara and good governance in the state.
A statement by the Director General of the group, Arch. Ipalibo West on Tuesday said that the group has dissociated itself from any group or individual trying to undrrmine good governance in the state.
The statement reads in parts: “On behalf of The Board of Trustees, Directors and Members of the Coalition of Rivers State Professionals (CORPS), we welcome you to this maiden press conference tagged “Our Commitment to Professional Relevance, Peace, Development and Good Governance: Irrevocable.”
“It is indeed very necessary that the Coalition for Rivers State Professionals CORPS, a body made up of members of various professional groups and networks in Rivers State drawn from diverse endeavors in the private, public and government sectors, expressly declare our total and unalloyed commitment to good governance in our dear state and show solidarity to the Executive Governor of Rivers State H.E Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, as His Excellency marks his first year in office.
“As Rivers Professionals, we completely dissociate ourselves from anybody or group attempting to undermine civil governance in Rivers State and condemn, in strong terms, all attempts aimed at truncating democratic governance in the State.
“Despite the huge distractions precipitated by the needless attacks on the administration of His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, We have observed tremendous thrust in delivery of dividends of democracy to our dear State and her people.”
