Ned Nwoko, the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, has denied claims of domestic violence leveled against him by his wife, Regina Daniels, and some members of her family.
Responding to the weighty allegation, Nwoko, in a post via his Facebook page on Sunday, claimed that his estranged wife is battling with drug and alcohol abuse, stating that he had at no point been violent towards her or his other wives.
In the post, which he titled, ‘REGINA’S UNPROVOKED CARNAGE AND RAMPAGE IN MY HOUSE AND IN MY ABSENCE’, Nwoko expressed the need for Regina to continue her rehabilitation, saying the actress moved to a place she would endlessly abuse drugs and alcohol.
He said, “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs. I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence.
“Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff (members) in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. The truth is, I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, especially Jordan, where she will not have access to drugs.”
He accused Samuel “Sammy” Daniels, Regina’s brother, of being her major drugs supplier.
“A clear headed Regina would have taken Moon to the hospital but instead she even threatened to kill our resident nurse (for exposing her drugs abuse). While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” the Senator said.
Recall that Regina and her brother had on Saturday accused Nwoko of sending thugs to beat up the actress after the senator allegedly physically attacked her.
In a viral video, Regina was seen being surrounded by security details as she cried over the domestic violence in her marriage, saying she could no longer stand the torments she was made to face.
In the emotional clip, Regina could be heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I’m nothing,” as voices in the background argued and appeared ready to engage in a physical altercation.
While the cause of the dispute remains unclear, the video captures multiple parties exchanging harsh words and preparing to throw punches.
