Pastor Adeboye Releases 2026 Prophecies On Nigeria, Global Affairs

Olayiwola Matthew

Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has released his prophecies for 2026.

According to the revered cleric, the new year will usher in economic recovery, reduced hunger, and a reversal of the migration trend popularly known as japa.

Adeboye delivered the prophecies during the church’s annual crossover service held at Redemption City on New Year’s Eve, offering a message of hope for Nigeria and cautious optimism for the global community.

Addressing the national outlook, the cleric revealed the first part of a two-part prophecy, noting that he would pray further before releasing the second part later in the week.

“This year, there will be a reduction in hunger. He says small and medium enterprises will begin to blossom,” Adeboye declared.

Adeboye also predicted a phenomenon he described as “reverse japa”, suggesting that Nigerians who migrated abroad in search of better opportunities would begin returning home.

“He says something that I can only put down as reverse japa. And many who japa will come back home,” he said.

On global affairs, the RCCG leader said the likelihood of a major international conflict in 2026 is lower than in the previous year, while cautioning about possible extreme weather events.

“On the international scene, he says the chance of a major war is less this year than last year.

As far as the weather is concerned, he says the pattern will be similar to 2025, except there is the chance of a couple of major hurricanes,” Adeboye stated.

Speaking generally about the year ahead, Adeboye described 2026 as a year of greater opportunities, breakthroughs, and victories.

“Daddy says 2026 will be more remarkable than 2025. The wind that has been blowing since 2024 will continue to blow more strongly than before.

There will be more opportunities this year, more breakthroughs, more successes, more victories, and fewer failures,” he said.

He added that many testimonies in 2026 would be marked by delayed blessings finally materialising.

“A lot of testimonies this year will begin with, ‘God remembered me at last,’” Adeboye concluded.

The crossover service, which ended in the early hours of January 1, has since sparked intense debate on social media, particularly over the “reverse japa” prophecy, as Nigerians enter the new year with a mix of hope, skepticism, and anticipation.
