One person reportedly died in a motor accident on 3rd Mainland bridge in Lagos on Saturday.

Confirming the incident through a press statement, Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq wrote that an early morning crash on third Mainland Bridge, leaving one dead (sex unconfirmed).
He explained that the operatives of the agency responded swiftly to rescue occupants of the two vehicles involved in the crash.
Adebayo explained that Hon. Sola Giwa, the Special Adviser(Transportation) to the governor, confirmed that one person died in the accident which took place near the Unilag waterfront inbound Iyana-Oworonsoki area of Lagos.
Hon. Giwa gave the details of the vehicle involved in the accident as a Mini Truck with registration number (Lagos MUS 489 XS) and a Toyota Camry (Lagos KRD 470 JD).
He lamented that the crash occured as a result of overspending despite ongoing campaign on educating motorists on speed limits.
Report had it that the casualty of the ghastly accident was removed by SEHMU officials and the vehicles were removed by officials LASTMA to avoid gridlock.
Hon. Giwa, therefore, consoled with the family of the deceased.
