Abeokuta _ In a move signaling broad consultations ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, African Democratic Congress aspirant Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina, popularly known as “DeeDoc,” paid a courtesy visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
Dr. Odusina was seen in deep conversation with the elder statesman during the meeting, which sources say underscores her commitment to drawing from Nigeria’s wealth of experience as she advances an agenda anchored on Innovation, Accountability, Transparency, Accessibility, Good Governance, and Integrity.
The former president reportedly gave his “full support and fatherly blessings” to DeeDoc’s ambition to become Ogun State governor in 2027.
Political observers view the visit as a major boost to the ADC aspirant’s growing ambition. Obasanjo, widely regarded for his influence in Ogun politics, has consistently emphasized competence and character in leadership.
With the visit, supporters say the ADC now “has a doctor in the race,” adding that the path to Okemosan is becoming clearer.
