The agency revealed the details of their reception in a statement posted on X on Wednesday morning.

“As part of the ongoing efforts to support voluntary returnees, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Kano Office, in collaboration with other critical stakeholders, received 111 Nigerian nationals repatriated from Niamey, Niger Republic,” the statement read in part.

The agency further disclosed that the repatriation exercise was facilitated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), in collaboration with key agencies involved in migrant support and reintegration.

Upon their arrival, the returnees were transported to Chilla Hotel, where they underwent profiling and documentation on Tuesday.
