President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been commended for selecting Bende federal constituency as the location for the Renewed Hope Agenda Housing estate in Abia State.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu commended the President for the 250-unit housing project which he(Kalu) favilitated to the constituency.
He disclosed that the 250 housing units will consist of 50 units of 1-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, 150 units of 2-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, and 50 units of 3-bedroom semi-detached bungalows.
President Tinubu had, through the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the project on in Umuoche in Bende Local Government ayrea of the state on Thursday.
The president had ordered the developers involved in the project to ensure its completion within the three months window with adherence to specifications.
In the Phase One of the programme, the federal government is to deliver 50,000 housing units, including 7 Renewed Hope Cities with between 500 and 1,000 housing units per site in each of the six geopolitical zones and the FCT.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Levinus Nwabughiogu, the President was also commended for citing the project in his federal constituency, which Kalu noted that it would boost the confidence of the people in the APC-led federal government under him.
He, therefore, appealed to the people to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government, saying more dividends of democracy are still coming.
