Its another birthday celebrations for Engr. Gboye Adegbenro FNSE , a relatively young man with caps filled with accomplishments.
In the field of engineering, Gboye has been able to carve a niche for himself.
In these climes, where politics is synonymous with betrayal of benefactors leaders and god-fathers, Engr. ‘Gboye Adegbenro stands tall as Mr. LOYALTY .
Ever since the former Governor, Olusegun Mimiko brought him into the fray of politics, he has remained a bona-fide backer and follower of the Ondo-born versatile politician. While some might label his loyalty unwise, many more call him, a man of consistent character.
His foray into politics started when he was appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Infrastructure. Thence, he became the Special Adviser to Acting Commissioner and eventually, Commissioner. He held the Commissioner post for six uninterrupted years the longest number of years by any man in Ondo State history.
Professionally, he succeeded in leaving his footprints on the sand of time, while serving as Commissioner for Works in the state. He masterminded the dualisations of Arakale road in Akure, the State capital, ditto at Ondo and lgbokoda. Under his watch as Commissioner for Works, the Owo phase 1 dualization and the Oba ile/Airport road were commenced and completed. Construction of the Democracy park,is also one of his numerous achievements.
The International Event Center popularly known as The Dome was built during his term as Commissioner. It was also during his golden years as the helmsman that the edifying gigantic Engineering Building was put in place in the Works premises.
He is a Consultant, a round peg in a round hole. Engr . GBOYE Adegbenro took part in the construction of Oshodi Bus Terminal, a big project in Lagos State. He has successfully handled many projects in Nigeria.
He is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AGE Infrastructures Limited.
His philanthropic gesture has put smiles on the faces of many. Engr. Gboye Adegbenro legendary strides in philanthropy has touched many lives and brought succour to quite a huge number of the people.
At 55, Gboye has proved himself worthy, he is a servant – leader and ever prepared to serve.
