No fewer than 116 units of 2-Bedroom semi-detached bungalows have been inaugurated by the Federal Government for civil servants.

The housing units are located at Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Estate, Gwagwalada area of.Abuja.
The Head of Service(HoS) Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan described the project as one of the six pillars of the development plans of the federal ministry towards the welfare of the federal workers.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, she lamented that the cost of building materials has made it near impossible for civil servants to own a house.
She submitted that “To tackle these challenges and with the objectives of delivering affordable houses for civil servants, the Office of the Head of the Civic Service established a FISH programme, with the main objective of reducing the cost of housing for civil servants to the barest minimum.
“These houses and their keys will be delivered to those fortunate civil servants today and in the course of this event, there will be a symbolic presentation of keys to four officers, who have been allocated houses in this Estate.”
The HoS disclosed that another expanse of land has been set aside for similar project at Jiwa in Abuja.
