Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho churned out no fewer than 8,102 graduates.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, reeled out the details of the convocation while addressing journalists at the varsity’s Council Chamber.
He explained that 8,102 of the graduating students will be receiving bachelor’s degrees, with 2,086 in the Second Class Upper division, 3,494 in Second Class Lower, 756 in Third Class, and 12 with Pass degrees.
The Vice Chancellor further disclosed that 7 students in Nursing Science recorded Distinctions, while another 133 students in Medicine and Surgery successfully completed their programmes.
He also disclosed that the best graduating student is Adeladun Badirat Adeduntan from the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences.
According to him, the best graduating student emerged with a CGPA of 4.86 and would be recognized during the convocation ceremony..
The 35th Founders’ Day Anniversary and 17th Convocation Ceremony of LAUTECH not only celebrates academic excellence but also honours contributions to Nigeria’s cultural heritage, represented by icons such as Lere Paimo, popularly known as Eda Onile Ola, and the filmmaker, Francis Onwochei.
