The authorities of First Baptist Church known as Cathedral Liberation located in Ayetoro town of Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State have sacked a staff of the school, affiliated to the church for allegedly raping a pupil of the school.
It was reported that the staff identified as Kola Osunjimi, who is a gardener in the church was said to have defiled the 6-year-old pupil of Baptist Church Nursery and Primary School owned by the Church shortly after closing hours at the school, while the parents were yet to come for her.
The action of the gardener who as at the time of filing this report was said to be in police net, was considered as criminal and ungodly by the church authorities and therefore took a punitive action by terminating his appointment with immediate effect.
Further reports revealed that the letter of termination jointly signed by Rev Samuel Adesina (Church Head and Mrs Kehinde Adedeji, (Secretary of the Church) emphasized that the conduct of the suspect contradicts the policy of the church.
