In a drive to make youths become self-reliant, youths across the federation have been called upon to key into developmental initiatives of the Minister of Youths Development, Ayo Olawande.
Dada Eminence, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Ondo State, who contested for APC National Youth Leader at the last convention of the party held at Eagle Square, Abuja, made the call on Sunday while congratulating the Minister.
He noted that the elevation of the Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the new cabinet reshuffle as a testimony to developmental initiatives he has to offer youths in the country.
Dada stated that youths in the country are fortunate that President Tinubu created a special office headed by an agile and creative youth to provide enabling environment for youths to be able to achieve their aspirations.
The statement signed by Dada reads inter alia: “I want to appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for creating this special platform for youths in the federation to be their best.
“I also want to congratulate the Honourable Minister of Youths, Ayo Olawande on his recent elevation by President Tinubu.
“It’s a known fact that the developmental initiatives of the Minister were identified by President Tinubu which informed his elevation.
“I, therefore, implore all youths across the federation to explore and exploit these developmental initiatives so as to be self-reliant.
“If these programmes are keyed into by the youths, it would mop up the labour market drastically as most of them would turn out to be employers of labour.
“We youths also need to prove to the world that we are formidable and reliable instruments for socio-economic development and growth.
“I, therefore, urge the Honourable Minister to keep making us proud by putting in his best to enhance the goals of President Tinubu to turn around the fortune of the nation.”
