A new Controller of Corrections(CC) has been announced for the Yobe state Command of Nigerian Correctional Service.

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Yobe Command, ASC Haruna Isa, diaclosed that Mr. Adamu Yahaya has been deployed to the state.
The statement made available to newsmen in Damaturu reads that “the Nigerian Correctional Service is pleased to announce the posting of the Controller of Corrections (CC), Adamu Yahaya, as the new Controller of Corrections for Yobe State Command.
“”CC Adamu Yahaya, a seasoned Corrections Officer from Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Jos, Plateau State. He joined the Nigerian Correctional Service in 1991 as an Assistant Superintendent of Corrections and rose through the ranks to become a Controller of Corrections in 2021.
“CC Yahaya has served in various capacities and strategic offices across commands and formations. He takes over from Controller of Corrections Bala Dan’azumi Kitsam, who has been redeployed to the service’s National Headquarters in Abuja.
“CC Yahaya is the fifth Controller of Corrections posted to the Yobe State Command since former President Muhammadu Buhari signed into Law the Act changing the name of the Nigeria Prisons Service to Nigerian Correctional Service in 2019.
“Before his redeployment to Yobe State Command, CC Yahaya served as the Controller of Corrections in charge of Nasarawa State Command.
“The Yobe State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service calls on the good people of the state to strengthen their support and cooperation with the service in the areas of reformation, rehabilitation, and reintegration of offenders into society as better and reformed citizens.”
