In a recent video shared by a local television station, a Senior Advocate, Femi Falana has charged Nigerians to hold their legislators to account for the use of public funds.

Falana specifically stated that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio took N4 billion for constituency projects and some other senators took N500 million for constituency projects.
Falana encouraged Nigerians to ask their lawmakers in Abuja details of these projects to understand how the funds are being expended.
He said that this level of scrutiny is essential for ensuring transparency and accountability at all levels of government.
Falana said: “I am also pleading with Nigerians to ask the legislators, those who took N500 million in Abuja; the Senate President Godswill Akpabio that took N4 billion for constituency projects. This is the time to ask what these projects are about.
“We must ask each of the legislators in Abuja, so that we can begin to take accountability seriously. We must demand accountability in all tiers of government “
