A chieftain of All Progressives Congress APC in Delta State, Chief Isaac Emetitiri has said the appointment of Nyesom Wike of Peoples Democratic Party PDP as Minister of Federal Capital Territory FCT by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress was an ideal decision to grow Nigeria democracy and providing good governance.
Emetitiri made the assertion in a statement on Tuesday, and called for appointment of competent, patriotic and ready to work Nigerians into offices irrespective of political affiliations.
“ President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the FCT Minister, His Excellency Barrister Nyesom Wike have proven beyond reasonable doubts that there is no permanent friend or enemy in politics”
“ President Tinubu and Minister Wike are leaders of the two most powerful political parties in Nigeria and Africa, the All Progressives Congress APC and Peoples Democratic Party PDP coming together to share and implement ideas enthroning good governance and real democratization irrespective of their political party’s lines”
“ This has never been heard before, and I believe Nigeria is doing better. I have great respect for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and FCT Minister His Excellency Barrister Nyesom Wike, this is a landmark that will remain indelible in Nigeria’s democracy and political history”
The Urhobo born Chief, commended Wike for the laudable impact, transformation and infrastructural developments in FCT, noting that Wike has become the best FCT Minister since 1999.
He appealed to Wike to ignore distractions, but remain focused on the delivering on the good work he is doing in FCT, for the best interest of Nigeria.
