A captured video involving Nigerian singer Teniola Apata famously known as Teni has gone viral after she pushed past security to reach the VIP section and serenade Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, during an International Women’s Day celebration in Akwa Ibom.
In the video, the singer was performing her 2018 hit Case when she attempted to approach the VIP area where the First Lady, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno and Senate President Godswill Akpabio were seated.
Security personnel initially tried to stop her, but Teni eventually made her way into the section, engaging the dignitaries and urging them to sing along before switching to another song.
Governor Eno later thanked the First Lady for attending the event and reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to major projects in the state.
He also noted that women at the gathering endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Akpabio and himself ahead of the 2027 elections.
