Stella Star Humanitarian Foundation Berths, Raises Hope for Societal Growth

A new non-government organisation, Stella Star Humanitarian Foundation has set out to decrease the numbers of out of school children and improve lives of downtrodden in the country.

The foundation’s mission is to see a country where everyone has access to basic needs, equal opportunities and a chance to thrive in challenging economy.

Speaking during the launch, the convener of the foundation, Mrs Stella Bamidele noted that the initiative is set to provide scholarship schemes for underprivilege students, medical facilities for all age group, food distribution and agricultural training, emergency response and disaster relief and women empowerment especially for the widows.

“You may want to ask why our attention is focused on children and especially the girls, it is because we know that when one educates a woman, one has educated the whole nation. Beyond this, educating the girl child translates to better health for the future generation, reduction in child morbidity and mortality.  This is why we are bent on bringing as many girls as we can back to school for the benefit of their immediate environment and the country as a whole. We have other focuses for the foundation as our mission is to provide humanitarian aid, support sustainable development and promote social justice in Africa communities” Mrs Bamidele said.

In his remarks, The Oloto of Otta of Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege who was represented, stated that the initiative would be used to transform the lives of the youths in the country.

He said, “Stella Star Humanitarian Foundation is a strategic platform that has been created to promote collaborative efforts to empower young people, women and all the less privileged. It will require mobilizing financial, human, and technological resources to directly address poverty, inequality, and social exclusion through pragmatic intervention from the grassroots to the national level. So my clarion call is that its should be given required support so that others can benefit immensely from the initiative”.

Others in attendance at the launch includes Internationally acclaimed DJ Hotega (Kayode Akanle), Mr. Oladipupo Bamidele, Ogp27 Pastor, Mrs Odunsi, APICP Ebiotomieye among other dignitaries.
