Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Lagos State in the 2023 General Election, Dr. Olajide ‘Jandor’ Adediran, is set to return to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Report has it that Adediran will officially return to the party he left to contest for the governorship seat of the state this week.
Recall that it was earlier reported that Adediran resigned from the PDP, citing indiscipline among party members, among other allegations.
Since his official resignation from the PDP, he has been engaged in meetings with various political groups and prominent politicians as he seeks the best political decision to accommodate both his interests and those of his supporters.
The peak of these meetings was his recent discussion with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu last week at Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
During the last general elections, Adediran played a pivotal role in the PDP’s efforts to take over power in the state.
However, certain elements within the PDP were uncomfortable with his rising profile in the party. Despite this, he remained undaunted and eventually won the party’s gubernatorial primary, securing the PDP flag for the election.
