Marcus Rashford has ruled out a return to Manchester United, rejecting renewed interest from his boyhood club in favour of continuing his career at Barcelona, according to a report by The Touchline.
The England forward is said to be unconvinced by United’s current sporting direction and believes his ambitions are better aligned with Barcelona’s long-term project. Rashford views the Catalan club as a stable environment capable of challenging for major European honours, with head coach Hansi Flick playing a decisive role in that confidence.
Manchester United’s interest has reportedly intensified following recent changes within the club’s managerial structure. Interim head coach Michael Carrick is understood to have personally reached out to Rashford, identifying him as a key figure in plans to rebuild United’s attacking identity ahead of next season.
Despite the approach, Rashford’s position has not changed. Sources indicate that uncertainty surrounding United’s long-term vision remains a major deterrent for the forward, who is reluctant to rejoin a setup he feels is still searching for clarity and consistency.
By contrast, Rashford is described as settled and focused in Spain. Since joining Barcelona last summer, he has adapted quickly to life at the club and developed a strong connection with the team and its surroundings.
