As citizens expect the proposed nationwide protest, Kebbi State Commissioner of Police Bello Sani has charged the organizers of the protest to avoid violence and destruction of properties and looting of shops.

He noted that all citizens have a right to protest, he said destruction of and looting of public and private properties and shops would be resisted by the Police.
Bello stated this during stakeholders meeting with other security agencies in the state.
He pledged to protect the protesters as long as they don’t allow criminal elements to infiltrate them.
According to him, “You must give me assurance that during the protest, which should be peaceful, no rights of civilians are trample upon and you must also provide your details and that of your leaders to ensure proper protection to you and members of the public.”
Other government agencies and groups that attended the stakeholders meeting include National Orientation Council(NOA), National Union of Road Transport Workers(NURTW), commercial motorcyclists popularly known Okada Riders, PCRC and other critical stakeholders.
However, the protest may not happen as it may degenerate into violence.
