A popular saying has it that “Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth”. This saying highlights how quickly positive change and progress can occur once a foundation is laid. It suggests that once momentum is gained, growth can be exponential.
That the modern age is an era of great religious speculation will be apparent to even the most casual student of its literature; that it is also an age of great religious faith no one can contest. As things stand, it is evident that not a few contemporaries would be disposed to concur with the popular view that men cannot do without religion, and that they cannot all do with it as it is. But, surely, it is the dialogue of the human mind with itself that characterizes man’s continuous search for spiritual meaning in the modern would.
Yet, presently, Nigerian men of God have set their stamp more strongly on the general character of the Christian religion as a way of life. During the last few decades, our generation in particular has seen a re-orientation of our mind and soul, which implies not only a permanent change but, indeed, a shifting of the spiritual horizon, with far-reaching results.
All these swiftly rising new men of God in Nigeria, whose names we now recognize as stimulating signals, have one thing in common: they are fully and truly committed. And their congregations greet them with enthusiasm, no matter the location.
One of these anointed servants of the Most High whose liberty has taken roots and with laid foundation and experiencing unprecedented growth is the man who speaks with authority, no wonder he’s nicked named ‘Baba Authority’ , he is Prophet Sam Adebayo Ojo of the Freedom Apostolic Revival International Ministry (FARIM), based in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Prophet Sam Adebayo Ojo is known for his dynamic ministry and prophetic teaching, the general overseer, Ori Oke Ogo, a mountain of glory in Asejire, Ibadan. More than any of his contemporaries, he has exerted a tremendous influence on the spiritual and economic life of his teeming congregation in particular and humanity at large.
Amidst the ponderous saga of some “holier-than-thou” men of God who tax their congregations to build schools, colleges and universities to which they (members) cannot afford to send their children due to exorbitant fees, Prophet Sam Ojo has awarded scholarship to thousands of his members and even beyond. His consistent life style has already given proof of his individuality as a true servant of God. And the manifest hand of God that radiates through his ministration has drawn many lost sheep back to the Body of Christ. A close look at the circumstances of his life shows that Prophet Sam Ojo was born with the natural requirements for a calling of an ideal tendency.
A biblical statement that resonates with Prophet Sam Ojo and its among the identifying mark of a good Christian is love in form of giving to the poor and needy. On this score, he dwarfs all superlatives, at least in Nigeria. Whereas most men of God tax their congregations (sometimes to breaking point) to acquire airplanes and jets to fly all over the world, Prophet Sam Ojo is one of the few men of God who have seen the need to invest in human capital.
As a hardworking, loyal and dedicated spiritual bulldozer who can shrink up the sundering seas, level all intruding mountains, bridge all gulfs and put a lamp in every tunnel, Prophet Sam Ojo air his programs on couple hundred radio station across Nigeria, especially those that are his own, Melody 107.7Fm Lagos, Melody 100.7FM Ibadan and Ariya 100.3FM Lagos and in pipeline are the Akure station and that of the federal capital territory, FCT Abuja.
Like Jesus Christ, Prophet Sam Ojo has taken the gospel to every nook and crannies of the country, of most recent of it was the ‘Operation 777 Prophetic Prayer 2025, a spirit filled seven days revival which had attendance the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. There are other programmes like Oru Asiri on every last the days of the month which always leads to what is called cross over blessings, monthly men vigil among other soul strengthen crusades.
For anyone who has ever tried to explain the making of a complete servant of God knows that goodness must be allowed to speak for itself. The goodness that radiates in his better half, Folashade Ojo and her children is obvious in the life of the man of God, Prophet Sam Ojo who continues to conquer the devil and its machination with the mighty hands of the only true God.
