Peoples Democratic Party Governors have been commended on their efforts to reposition the party in preparation for 2027 general elections in the country.
They were commended by Conference of Professionals in the Peoples Democratic Party (CP-PDP).
Rising from its weekly State of the Party Review session, the confab supported the State Governors’ recommendation for the convening of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on May 27 and early National Convention in August 2025.
In a statement signed by the group’s Protem National Coordinator, Barr. Obinna Nwachukwu, CP-PDP said: by”This is especially bearing in mind that the leadership that emerges at the National Convention must be such that can effectively confront the ruling APC and rally Nigerians for the party’s victory at the 2027 general elections.”
The group, therefore, tasked the leadership and members of the party put the party in order before the general elections so that the party could return to power.
CP-PDP declared its total support for the party,saying It would work with the party leadership and members to bring the party back to its feet.
