The establishment of a Joint Military Command and launching of Operation Fansan Yamma are clear demonstrations of the Federal Government’s commitment to decisively tackle the multidimensional challenges of insecurity confronting the North, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state asserted.
The Governor who made assertion in a welcome speech at joint meeting of the Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF), and Northern Traditional Rulers Council in Kaduna Monday commended President Bola Tinubu for reinvigorating the war against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements in the North.
“Let me use this opportunity to commend our dear President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for reinvigorating the war against terrorists, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements in the North.
“The establishment of a Joint Military Command and launching of Operation Fansan Yamma are clear demonstrations of the Federal Government’s commitment to decisively tackle the multidimensional challenges of insecurity confronting the North.
“Once more, I thank you all for finding time to attend this important meeting. I wish us fruitful deliberations. God bless you all”, he stated.
Earlier, the governor stated that “It gives me great pleasure to welcome my esteemed colleagues and our revered traditional rulers to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. I would like to acknowledge the presence of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.
“I commend you all for your unrelenting commitment to the promotion of the values of peaceful co-existence and shared prosperity.
“I am confident that under the able leaderships of H.E. Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya and His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, the Northern Governors Forum and the Northern Traditional Rulers Council will make their marks as effective platforms for addressing the security and developmental challenges confronting the North.
“We must all work together to realize our vision of a secure, peaceful and prosperous North”, he noted.
