In light of the proposed protest scheduled for August 1st against the government due to the current hardships facing the people, Lekan Adeyemo, the APC State Youth Leader in Ondo State, strongly urge Nigerian youths to reconsider their participation in this demonstration.

The aftermath of the last Endsars protest in the country resulted in devastating losses for several families, with lives lost and the economy further deteriorated. It is crucial to acknowledge that while protest is a vital component of democracy, the upcoming protest appears to have a political agenda and may not be necessary at this time when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is diligently working to revitalize the economy he inherited.
It is imperative for Nigerian youths to support the President’s efforts and refrain from exacerbating the economic challenges we demanded to be addressed. The potential for violence and the infiltration of hoodlums during the protest pose a significant threat to the safety of innocent citizens, and we must prioritize national stability over unrest.
“The youth of Ondo State stand united in our decision not to participate in the protest, and we call upon the Inspector General of Police to ensure our protection so that we can continue our daily activities without disruption on the proposed protest day” Lekan Adeyemo said.
The APC youth leader in Ondo State, Lekan Adeyemo, commend Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his outstanding leadership and intervention during these challenging times. His approval of a 2 billion naira additional intervention fund to enhance food security and alleviate the economic burdens faced by the people of Ondo State is a testament to his commitment to the welfare of our citizens.
