Executive Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, on Monday received a generous donation of ICT facilities from the Aduro Foundation, led by the Chairman of Aduro Farms, Dr. Tony Aduro.
The presentation, which took place at the Okitipupa LG Secretariat, followed a strategic engagement initiated by Hon. Ogunsakin to foster collaboration with key stakeholders and private organizations towards improving the functionality of the local government.
The donated items include laptops, printers, and several boxes of A4 paper, all aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and digital capacity within the Secretariat.
Dr. Tony Aduro, while presenting the items, commended the Chairman’s proactive and visionary approach to governance. In his words; “the Chairman has shown he wants to work, and I’m elated seeing people that want to work. I queue behind them.”
According to a statement by Tosin Ayejusunle, spokesman for the Council, the chairman in his response, expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Aduro and his team for the kind gesture and pledged that the facilities would be put to effective use in the interest of the people of Okitipupa.
The Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Ogunyemi Orimisan also joined in appreciating the foundation, emphasizing the importance of continued synergy between the government and private sector for sustainable development.
He said: “This gesture is a significant result of the Chairman’s consistent efforts in lobbying and fostering collaboration with private individuals and organizations, in his drive towards repositioning Okitipupa Local Government for enhanced productivity and efficient service delivery.”
