President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Kresta Laurel Limited, Nigeria’s foremost indigenous elevator and escalator company, on its 35th anniversary, describing the milestone as a testament to resilience, discipline, and sound business practices.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President hailed the management and staff of the company, led by its Chairman, Senator Gbenga Daniel, for building a business that has stood firm for over three decades.
“Kresta Laurel’s longevity could only have come from resilience, effective management, and sound enterprise discipline,” Tinubu said.
Founded in Lagos, the company has grown into a major player in the elevators and escalators sector, with branches in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, and a zonal office in Ibadan. It has also been recognized with the prestigious African Order of Merit in Cranes, Escalators, and Elevator Technology.
President Tinubu fondly recalled his personal connection with the company, noting that Kresta Laurel provided critical support to his transition team in 1999, when he assembled a technocratic cabinet that went on to shape Lagos State’s governance from May 1999.
“I remain grateful for the company’s support and unwavering belief in the Nigerian market,” the President said, while also extending warm felicitations to Senator Daniel and the board of directors.
Wishing the company greater success, Tinubu urged Kresta Laurel to continue being a shining example of indigenous excellence in Nigeria’s business landscape
