The Ondo State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a clean, safe, and sustainable environment for all residents.
The Governor believes that a healthy life is only attainable in a disease-free and environmentally friendly setting.
In alignment with OUR EASE Agenda of the Aiyedatiwa-led administration, the Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Tob Loko, emphasized the shared responsibility of both public and private stakeholders in realizing the government’s environmental goals.
He reiterated that creating a cleaner Ondo State requires collective action and strong partnerships.
This position was highlighted today when Dr. Loko received the Country Representative of Mutual Commitment Company Limited, a renowned environmental solutions firm based in China. Mr. Colins Yin, who paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner at his office in Akure to express his company’s interest in collaborating with the state.
Welcoming Mr. Yin, Dr. Loko commended the firm’s interest in contributing to the state’s environmental development and stressed the importance of credible partnerships in tackling environmental challenges.
“We are pleased to have you visit the Ministry of Environment,” he stated.
“The government is open to meaningful collaborations that will enhance environmental sustainability. If your company is committed to quality service delivery, we are ready to work with you,” declared Dr Loko.
He also encouraged other local and international partners to identify with the government’s vision, noting that Ondo State is poised for significant environmental transformation.
Mr. Yin outlined key areas where Mutual Commitment Company Limited could offer solutions, including flood control, potable water provision, soil degradation management, erosion control, embankment construction, shoreline protection, and the development of effective drainage systems and water channels.
He assured the Commissioner of his company’s capacity to deliver top-quality results if engaged.
The visit marks a promising step toward potential collaboration aimed at enhancing the environmental landscape of Ondo State.
