El-Rufai Deserves Treatment He’s Getting From FG – Isaac Fayose

Businessman, Isaac Fayose, believes former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai is getting what he deserves from President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

El-Rufai is being probed over an alleged N432 billion corruption scandal linked to his administration.

Fayose expressed this view in a Facebook post on Wednesday, accompanied by a video, and stated that he would not be participating in any protests calling for El-Rufai’s release.

He alleged that during his tenure, the former governor turned Kaduna State into a “Muslim-Muslim” state, unlike his predecessors.

He noted that unlike previous governors who maintained religious balance in leadership, El-Rufai “scattered everything”, leaving Christians in the state vulnerable.

The businessman also clarified that he should not be mistaken for a member or supporter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stressing that he does not belong to any political party except what he described as the “Nigerian Party”, one that prioritises the welfare of Nigerians.

Fayose further declared his support for the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

His caption read, “El-Rufai deserves all he gets. I am not a member of ADC and I will never be. I am 100% Obidient.”

In the video, he said, “One person called me to come out to protest for El-Rufai. I said I cannot protest for El-Rufai.

“Before El-Rufai, we had a Muslim governor, Makarfi, and his deputy was a Christian. After that, we had Namadi Sambo, a Muslim, who chose a Christian deputy governor. May his soul rest in peace. El-Rufai came and scattered everything.

“He turned Kaduna into a Muslim-Muslim state. The Christians in Kaduna became vulnerable.

“I am not a member of ADC, and I will never be. The only party I am part of is the Nigerian party — what is good for Nigerians. The only candidate I like is Peter Obi. So don’t mistakenly think I am in ADC or part of you. It is only Obi I like.”
