In preparation for a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration, the Ondo State Police Command has embarked on strategic deployment of personnel across the state.
The deployment includes tactical teams, conventional policemen, and intelligence officers positioned at key locations such as worship centres, event venues, recreational areas, major highways, and other public places to ensure maximum security during the festive period.
According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the state Command, Ayanlade Olayinka, a Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP), “The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, has directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Tactical Units to intensify patrols, visibility policing, and surveillance in their respective jurisdictions.
“The Command urges the good people of Ondo State to remain law-abiding, celebrate responsibly, and cooperate with the police and other security agencies. We also encourage members of the public to report any suspicious movements or persons promptly to the nearest police station or via our emergency numbers.
“The Ondo State Police Command assures residents of its commitment to the protection of lives and property during and beyond the Easter season.
“We wish all citizens a safe and joyful Easter celebration.”
