As part of measures to ensure youths in the state do not continue to be job seekers but job creators, innovators, and builders of a technology driven future, the state government established the ICT-YEP Programme for Youths.

He equally noted that in this digital age, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) was not optional as it is the engine of modern progress, which shapes how people communicate, learn, conduct business and unlock new opportunities and through these economies were being redefined and the State must not be left out.
Governor Oborevwori said under the MORE Agenda, his administration had prioritized the empowerment of Youths in the State with digital skills and that the ICT-YEP programme is a flagship initiative designed to unleash the creative energy of young minds, drive innovation, generate employment and lay the groundwork for economic diversification beyond oil.
The Commissioner for Science and Technology, Dr. Daniel Odigie emphasized that the ICT-YEP initiative is a transformation platform designed to mentor, orient, and empower the next generation.
He described the programme as a key component of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, aimed at equipping the youths with digital skills needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced, technology driven world.
