Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has confirmed that midfielder Cole Palmer will remain sidelined for another six weeks.
Palmer, 23, has been out since Chelsea’s 2–1 defeat to Manchester United on September 20, when he was forced off midway through the first half.
Maresca had initially hoped the England international would return after this month’s international break but admitted on Friday that his recovery will take longer than expected.
The Chelsea manager also assured fans that Palmer will not require surgery, emphasizing the importance of a full recovery. Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Nottingham Forest, Maresca admitted it would be tough to replace one of his key players.
