CAC Increases Service Fees, New Rates To Take Effect Aug 1

Deborah Akinyosoye

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced that it will increase some of its service fees starting from August 1, 2025.

“The Commission wishes to inform the general public, esteemed customers, and all stakeholders that in the continued efforts to improve its service quality and delivery, it has become necessary to review certain service fees effective the 1st day of August 2025,” CAC said in a notice released on Tuesday.

CAC said that the decision follows the careful consideration of prevailing economic realities and rising operational costs, as well as engagement with critical stakeholders ahead of implementation.

The Commission added that “the review is modest, competitive and aligns with our commitment to enhance service delivery through digitalised operations and maintain the integrity of the Nigerian Corporate Registry.”

The new fees will affect services for companies, business names, incorporated trustees, and limited partnerships. Some of the main changes include: voluntary striking-off (removing a company name), now ₦50,000 for small companies and ₦100,000 for public companies (up from ₦25,000); relisting a company, ₦50,000 for LTD/GTE, ₦100,000 for public companies; self-service due diligence search, ₦50,000; extension to hold AGM (Annual General Meeting), ₦100,000 for public companies and ₦50,000 for others; historical search reports, ₦20,000 to ₦30,000; certified copies of documents, ₦5,000 each; and director or proprietor address restriction, ₦25,000.
