-Deborah Akinyosoye

Renowned pastor and spiritual leader Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a health scare during Sunday’s service at The Potter’s House in Dallas, United States.

According to an official statement from the church, Bishop Jakes fell ill shortly after delivering a powerful hour-long sermon.

In a now-viral video, the esteemed cleric abruptly went silent during a prayer, drawing immediate attention when the microphone slipped from his hand. The congregation watched in shock as the workforce rushed to his aid.

The live video of the service was immediately terminated, prompting an emergency intercessory prayer on behalf of the cleric.

“Bishop Jakes experienced a slight health incident during today’s service and received immediate medical attention,” the church announced after the ordeal. “He is stable and under the care of medical professionals.”

The news sent ripples of concern throughout the global Christian community, as Bishop Jakes has been a towering figure in the faith world for decades.

Known for his stirring messages and larger-than-life presence, the 67-year-old pastor has inspired millions with his teachings on faith, perseverance, and spiritual growth.
Members of the congregation and supporters worldwide have since rallied in prayer and solidarity.

A Potter’s House spokesperson expressed gratitude, saying, “The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers.”

One attendee, who witnessed the service, shared her reaction, “We could feel the anointing in the room as Bishop preached with passion. It’s a reminder that even the strongest among us need rest and care. We’re praying for his swift recovery.”

While the details of the health incident remain undisclosed, the congregation has taken solace in the church’s reassurance of Bishop Jakes’ stability.

Messages of support have flooded social media, with hashtags like #PrayersForTDJakes trending.

The Potter’s House has promised to provide updates as needed, urging the faithful to keep Bishop Jakes in their thoughts and prayers during this time.
