Two housemates, Victory and Gigi Jasmine have been evicted from the Big Brother house, making them the sixth and seventh housemates to exit the show as it enters its fifth week, leaving 23 of the original 28 contestants still in the game.
The live eviction show on Sunday, hosted by Ebuka in the Lagos studio, began with the host wishing Koyin a happy birthday, teasing him about whether he was turning 22 or 26.
During the show, Biggie announced Mensan as the most influential player in the house, as voted by the housemates for his impact for the week.
Victory, the first to leave, admitted he did not expect his eviction.
When asked about the triangle involving Gigi and Joanna, he said he didn’t want to talk about “all these people,” but expressed a liking for Joanna.
Gigi, when asked about her opinion on Victory, said, “I feel like he is not a good person.”
She added that she didn’t want to discuss further because she was on a national television broadcast.
Ebuka quizzed Denari on a recent discussion surrounding Kuture’s personality, then he shared his thoughts on him, saying he feels he is loud, and clarified that he had not accused him of lying.
Denari said he likened him to Mensan, just that the latter was secretive than Kuture is.
Kaybobo also revealed to Ebuka that he loves being in the kitchen because he enjoys cooking and cleaning, describing it as a way “of giving back to the people.”
The eviction show ended with Big Brother surprising viewers by stopping the announcement of a third eviction for the night.
The decision follows the latest public vote, which saw Victory and Gigi Jasmine garner the lowest support among viewers of the show, leading to their departure from the popular reality TV show.
Ivatar, however, escaped eviction for the week as she was on the eviction bottom three.
Prior to Victory and Gigi Jasmine’s exit, housemates Danboskid, Ibifubara, Kayikunmi, and Ortega had already been evicted, each leaving the competition after facing the weekly elimination process.
Sabrina also exited the show due to health reasons, bringing the total number of departures to seven.
