A group simply identified itself as All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum, has written to Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, representing Ondo Central, expressing its disappointment.
The open letter reads: “We write to you as a concerned constituent and citizen of ondo Central Senatorial District.
“This letter bears the collective disappointment and discontent of the people who, since the return of democracy in 1999, have never experienced such a void in representation as we now do under your tenure.
“Ondo Central has, unfortunately, lost its voice at the Senate under your watch. The core responsibilities of a senator — to legislate, represent, and advocate for the interests of your constituents – have been glaringly abandoned.
“There is no evidence of your presence on the floor of the Senate in defense of our challenges, no bills or motions in our interest, and no constituency engagement to show you understand or care about the daily struggles of the people you claim to represent.
“Akure North has been neglected, no SA or SLA coming from us. We are totally disappointed in you
“We are not interested in token projects or last-minute efforts to redeem a failed representation. It is too late. Do not bother doing anything further for Ondo Central – we have learned not to expect anything from a mandate that was never ours.”
