The Governing Council of of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, (FUNAAB ( has approved the promotion of 22 new professors and 12 readers in the university.
This was contained in a statement signed by Sunkanmi Olajide, Acting Head, Directorate of Public Relations of the varsity.
The ratification of the promotion of 22 new Professors and 12 Readers was done at a special meeting of the Governing Council of the institution held on June 24, 2025.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the university, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi, Odundun IV, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji Land presided over the special meeting.
According to the statement, the new promotions would contribute significantly to boosting the University’s academic strength and intellectual capital.
It was also emphasized that the development also reflected the University’s continued commitment to academic excellence, staff development, and global competitiveness.
