The newly nominated commissioners in Ondo State are expected to be cleared by the state House of Assembly this week.
The state Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Saturday added another four commissioner-nominees to the previous 12 he had nominated.
If the Assembly cleared the 16 nominees, the number of commissioners appointed by Governor Aiyedatiwa would rise to 28.
On assumption of office, Aiyedatiwa had retained the Commissioner for Finance and the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
The duo had worked with him in the first 14 months he spent in office to complete the tenure of his late boss, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
All the commissioners are expected to assume office immediately after the Assembly approves their nomination in the new week.
The four persons newly nominated are Pastor Bola Ademuwagun, Engr. Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji Awolowo Ajaka, and Hon. Adesoji Afolabi.
