Governor Caleb Mutfwang has been commended by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, for his commitment to peace and security in Plateau State.

He was also appreciated for executing people-oriented projects that have positively impacted citizens of the state.
General Musa made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the governor at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, the state capital.
He the Governor’s efforts in creating a conducive working environment for Nigerian Army personnel, which he said enabled them to carry out their operations without hindrance.
General Musa assured that the Nigerian Army would continue to adhere to its constitutional mandate in all its operations and that anyone violating their code of conduct would be severely punished.
In his response, Governor Mutfwang appreciated General Musa and his team for visiting him.
He expressed appreciation for the role of the military in preserving Nigeria’s unity, protecting lives and property.
The governor explained that his administration is working assiduously to enhance intelligence gathering through the deployment of modern technological equipment to ensure better results and safety for the people.
Governor Mutfwang told the Chief of Defence Staff that he has put up a programme designed to rehabilitate and return all Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) to their ancestral homes, calling for the support of the Nigerian Army.
The 18th Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, was accompanied by the General Officer Commanding 3 Armored Division and Commander Operation Safe Haven, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, along with the full complement of the Defence headquarters for the visit
