A former Minister of Defence, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN, has called on the electorate in Ondo State to vote en mass for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate.
According to a statement personally signed on Thursday, by the former Attorney General of the Federation, he noted that reelection of Aiyedatiwa would ensure continuity and that the projects started by the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, in different parts of Ondo State would be completed and new ones would be initiated.
Prince Adetokunbo said: “It will be a disservice to the citizens of the state to vote for a party that is not controlling the government at the national level.
“The last time Ondo State had two substantive Ministers was during the government of President Olusegun Obasanjo, and it has been made possible by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed two substantive Ministers from the state.
“It will be a sign of ingratitude if voters in Ondo State leave a government in control of Federal Government for an opposition party.”
The former Minister, therefore, charged the people of the state to continue to support APC so that more developmental projects from the national level could be attracted to the state and for benefit of the people to enjoy dividends of democracy.
