In his stance against corruption, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has on Wednesday sacked his Special Assistant on Forestry (Central Senatorial District), Mr. Adeboye Taofiq Ewenla over alleged bribery and intimidation.
The also ordered immediate probe of the allegations leveled against the governor’s aide by some timber merchants in the state.
Beyond the sacked aide, Aiyedatiwa also ordered a probe into the activities of those saddled with the responsibility of managing government forest reserves in the state.
A statement by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, notes that a replacement of the sacked aide would be announced later.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, therefore, cautioned all political appointees to conduct themselves in line with the provisions of the law and rules guiding their duties.
