NYSC Opens Portal For Registration March 12

The National Youth Service Corps has announced that its online portal will open for prospective corps members to register for mobilisation between March 12 and March 18, 2026.

The scheme disclosed this in a flyer released across its social media platforms on Friday.

In the notice addressed to prospective corps members, the agency stated that only graduates whose names appear on the approved Senate or Academic Board lists uploaded by their institutions would be eligible to register.

“Attention, Prospective Corps Members (PCMs), I am happy to inform you that the NYSC portal will be opened for online registration from 12th to 18th March, 2026,” the flyer read.

It added that those eligible to register are “PCMs who have Senate/Academic Board approved results and whose details have been uploaded on the NYSC portal by their respective institutions.”

The scheme advised prospective participants to visit its official website and social media pages for detailed guidelines on the registration process.

It also emphasised the importance of verifying personal details before beginning the process.

According to the agency, prospective corps members must ensure that the name on their National Identity Management Commission record matches the one on the Senate list and the NYSC portal.

Graduates were also advised to ensure that their names correspond with those on their certificates or statements of result.

The NYSC further directed applicants to confirm their details through the Senate list verification portal before proceeding with the online registration.

The development comes amid recent reforms in the education sector aimed at strengthening the integrity of academic records.

NigeriaTodayTimes reported that the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, announced stricter measures to curb certificate fraud, warning that graduates without proper documentation would not be eligible for mobilisation under the NYSC scheme.

Alausa said the Federal Government was strengthening institutional compliance and academic records management as part of broader reforms to protect the credibility of the country’s education system.

The minister stated this during a national capacity-building programme organised to support the implementation of the Nigeria Education Repository and Data Bank.
