FAAC Shares N1.9trn To FG, States, LGs In December 2025

The Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N1.969 trillion among the Federal Government, states and local government councils from federation revenue that accrued in December 2025.

This was disclosed in a communiqué issued by FAAC at the end of its monthly meeting on Monday.

According to the communiqué, the total distributable revenue comprised N1.084 trillion in statutory revenue, N846.507 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and N38.110 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

FAAC noted that a total gross revenue of N2.585 trillion was available in December 2025. From this amount, N104.697 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while N511.585 billion was set aside for transfers, refunds and savings.

The communiqué further stated that gross statutory revenue for December 2025 stood at N1.631 trillion, representing a decline of N105.202 billion compared to the N1.736 trillion recorded in November 2025.

In contrast, gross VAT revenue rose significantly to N913.957 billion in December 2025, up by N350.915 billion from the N563.042 billion recorded in November 2025.

From the N1.969 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N653.500 billion, while state governments received N706.469 billion. The local government councils received N513.272 billion, and N96.083 billion, representing 13 per cent of mineral revenue, was shared among the benefiting states as derivation revenue.

A breakdown of the N1.084 trillion distributable statutory revenue showed that the Federal Government received N520.807 billion, the states received N264.160 billion, while local governments got N203.656 billion. The oil-producing states received N96.083 billion as derivation revenue.

From the N846.507 billion VAT revenue, the Federal Government received N126.976 billion, the states received N423.254 billion, while local government councils received N296.277 billion.
