Former President of Confederation of African Football(CAF) Issa Hayatou has died.
This was disclosed by the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, in a post on his Instagram handle.
Hayatou was said to have passed on in a hospital in Paris, France on Thursday night, eve of his 78th birthday.
The FIFA President wrote on his Instagram: “Saddened to hear of the passing of former CAF President, former FIFA President and interim, FIFA Vice President and FIFA Council member, Issa Hayatou.”
