Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu has described the judgement of the Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State capital, the upheld the election of Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Dr. Olayide Adelami as the governor and deputy governor respectively as desirable.
The former state Commissioner for Information and Orientation said: “This victory is not only a reaffirmation of the will of the people but also a resounding testament to the strength of our democratic institutions and the rule of law.”
Akinlosotu commended the judiciary for upholding justice with integrity and extended sincere appreciation to the legal teams whose dedication and professionalism were instrumental in this outcome.
He, therefore, called on the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Agboola Ajayi, and other appellants to accept the appellate court’s verdict in good faith and place the collective interest of our dear state above personal or partisan considerations.
The commissioner said: “History will remember those who chose the path of peace and progress over discord. Let us now come together, irrespective of political differences to support Governor Aiyedatiwa in his mission to build a more united, prosperous, and developed Ondo State.”
